We are also interested in promoting and disseminating new research findings. In terms of geographical focus, we aim for a content balance of 80% Information, 20% products reviews, rating, comparisons for National & International readers.

Authors are not permitted to employ bots or other forms of artificial intelligence while creating content. If bots, artificial intelligence, or other sources are utilized for a phrase/idea, proper acknowledgment must be given to the exact source; otherwise it may be considered plagiarism or copyright infringement.

Authors are only allowed to reference material from other sources, bots, and artificial intelligence up to 20% of the time, and if they are discovered to be copying content from such sources more than 20% of the time, they will be requested to modify the article. If the author fails to rectify the content, action (as deemed appropriate) will be taken against them, which might also result in rejection of the said article.

If an author is found to be copying content from bots, artificial intelligence of any kind or any other source (online or offline), they shall face the following consequences:

If an author is found to be copying content from other sources or using bots/AI for generating content for the first time, the said article shall not be published and no remunerations shall be given for the same. The author shall be informed of the reason their article was rejected.

If an author is found to be copying content from elsewhere or using bots/AI for generating content the second time, the article shall not be considered, no remuneration shall be given and a warning will be issued.

If an author is caught copying content from elsewhere for the third time, the work will not be published and the author’s contract will be terminated.

If an author is found to have copied an article retrospectively, following actions shall be taken:

If one article is found to be plagiarized retrospectively or it is found that the author used bots/AI of any kind, the article shall be deleted and payment for the same shall be adjusted in future payments.

If two articles are found to be plagiarized retrospectively or it is found that the author used bots/AI of any kind, the articles shall be deleted and payment for the same shall be adjusted in future payments.

If three or more articles are discovered to be retrospectively plagiarized, or if the author used bots/AI of any type, the articles will be removed, and the author’s contract will be reviewed. Payment will be adjusted accordingly, either by the author or in the current payment cycle.

Therefore we believe you will comply with the above-said points to attribute the content in the right spirit.

We are a growing but small startup with a limited small budget. We believe helping to creating a fair economy where everyone has the potential to flourish and contribute.

Our pay scale is based living wage principles and adjusted for length, type of piece, complexity, level of research involved, whether or not the writer is independent (solopreneur/freelancer) or working for someone else (i.e.: salaried).

We also take into account the experience of the writer (because emerging writers typically require a higher investment in editorial support on our end).

So here is the deal:

We will pay you $10 for your efforts. You don’t need to be an expert—you just need to have English equal to that of a native speaker, a sense of humor, and a love for things unusual or interesting.

It works like this:

You write your list/article in terms “stories, products ABCD, etc. (10 items per list minimum), you send it in, we reply and say

“Great—we’ll publish it”

and send you $10 by PayPal (don’t have an account? just make one—it’s easy and free); or we reply and say “Sorry—it isn’t the sort of thing our readers will love—give it another shot.” Just remember, your list/article should be at least one or two paragraphs per entry.

Either way you win—

your list will be read by us and reviewed, and if it’s amazing it will appear on the front page of Shopup Today to be read by millions of people a month!

The rules are really pretty simple. As long as your list (and we do mean yours—don’t steal other people’s stuff) is one or two paragraphs per item you can choose any topic you like.

We also need you to link to reputable sources so we can verify the facts of what you’re saying. Just remember—if it’s good enough to publish (by our standards) you get $10 —simple as that.

Oh—and there’s one more thing:

If you have a blog, a Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter account, or a book you want to promote, mention it in the submissions form and we will stick it at the bottom of your list/article. We generally do not accept previously published or finished works (i.e.: blog posts). Do not send full manuscripts or works please.

We do not generally accept completed works or queries that are currently being considered by other publications. If the idea is intriguing, we will want to engage with you to develop the idea further.

We’ll talk about your intended approach, length, and other relevant things. Please don’t send a whole manuscript to start. We receive a high volume of article queries and regret that we cannot guarantee a timely response in every case. We will on average get back to you in 10 days.

When you send in your list you don’t need to include images or videos. Our team of editors does a great job selecting the best images to complement your writing.

However, if you are desperate to include some of your own supporting imagery or videos, just include a link to the YouTube page or a URL of the picture you like with each item on your list. We don’t promise we’ll use them, but we’ll definitely consider them.
